Tolosa Winery's 1772 Pinot Noir is the winery's signature wine from California's Edna Valley appellation, named after the year the Edna Valley was first mapped. This estate-grown Pinot Noir is sourced from Tolosa's expansive San Luis Obispo County vineyard, which spans six distinct sections across 60 different soil types and a range of microclimates — all shaped by the Pacific Ocean's cooling maritime influence flowing through the valley.

The wine showcases classic Edna Valley Pinot Noir character: bright red fruit aromas of cherry and raspberry, layered with earthy undertones, subtle spice, and a silky texture. It is aged for nine months in 100% French oak barrels, approximately 24% new, which adds gentle structure and complexity without overpowering the fruit. The result is an elegant, medium-bodied Pinot Noir with well-integrated tannins and a lingering finish.
