St. Hallett Planted 1919 Shiraz is a premium red wine from the Barossa Valley, South Australia. The "1919" name pays tribute to centenarian vines planted in 1919 and honors the multi-generational growers who have nurtured them for over a century, celebrating the Noack family — sixth-generation Barossa farmers — who have tended these vines for three decades.
The wine pours deep crimson with subtle brick hues. The bouquet is bright and uplifting, offering lovely floral notes with hints of white pepper, and grows more complex in the glass with dense blackberry and dried herbs. On the palate it is more medium than full-bodied, revealing layers of dark fruits and dark chocolate with herbal notes of dried bay leaf and a flinty mid-palate. The tannins are firm, silky, and polished, leading to a long and even finish. It is described by the producer as a very elegant and balanced wine.
