Thistledown The Cunning Plan Shiraz is a full-bodied red wine from the McLaren Vale region of South Australia. Crafted by Masters of Wine Giles Cooke and Fergal Tynan, this wine is sourced from the low-yielding Moray Park vineyard in McLaren Flat. The fruit is gently crushed to preserve whole berries, soaked for four days, then wild-fermented and aged in French oak with only 10% new barrels.

The wine delivers great depth of ripe plum and blackberry fruit flavors with a succulent palate, lively spices, and fine velvety tannins. It is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The 2023 vintage earned a Gold Medal with 95 points at the McLaren Vale Wine Show, 93 points from The Real Review, and 92 points from Robert Parker Wine Advocate.
