The Climber Red Blend from Clif Family Winery is a Bordeaux-style red wine sourced from Napa Valley, California. Crafted each vintage by Winemaker Laura Barrett, this 750ml bottle showcases a new flavor profile each season, inspired by the adventurous spirit of legendary Yosemite climber Ron Kauk, whose image graces the label as a tribute to his friendship with Clif Family founder Gary Erickson.
The 2022 vintage is fruity and warm, with notes of juicy plum, sun-ripened black raspberry, and hints of cinnamon and woody cedar. With 14.9% alcohol, it pairs well with savory red meats and outdoor gatherings. It earned 91 Points from Wine Enthusiast.
Clif Family farms 90 acres of organically farmed vineyards in the Howell Mountain and Oak Knoll District AVAs of Napa Valley. Their estate vineyards hold CCOF and Napa Green certifications, reflecting a commitment to environmental responsibility.
