Mare Island Brewing Co. Bunya-Bunya Tropical IPA is a refreshing tropical IPA brewed in Vallejo, California. This 6.5% ABV beer features Galaxy hops imported from Australia with a hint of pineapple, delivering a dangerously refreshing tropical character with 44 IBU of balanced bitterness and a 5.7 SRM golden color.
The beer is named after the pair of towering Australian bunya-bunya trees planted on the historic Mare Island Naval Shipyard in the 1880s, when Navy Commodore James Alden started a tradition of importing exotic plants from around the world. The trees stand 120 feet tall and produce massive pinecones weighing up to 40 pounds. This four-pack contains 16 oz cans.
