A premier Burgundy red wine from the Les Petits Noizons vineyard in the prestigious Pommard appellation of France's Côte de Beaune. Crafted from 100% old-vine Pinot Noir grown on clay-limestone slopes with southeast exposure, this wine is produced under the Vigne Comte de Chapelle label by Jean-Marie Fourrier, a fourth-generation vigneron based in Gevrey-Chambertin renowned for low-intervention, terroir-driven winemaking.
Grapes are hand-harvested and destemmed, then fermented with native yeasts in open-top vats with daily punch-downs for gentle tannin extraction. The wine is aged 12–16 months in primarily neutral oak barrels and bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve purity and terroir expression. ABV is 13%.
The wine displays a deep ruby hue with aromas of ripe red and dark berries, iron, earthy forest floor, pepper, and a hint of licorice. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied with polished tannins, bright acidity, pure fruit intensity, gentle spice, and a lingering savory, mineral finish. Pairs beautifully with roast duck, lamb, mushroom risotto, aged Comté, and charcuterie. Serve at 16–18°C; decant 30–45 minutes before serving.
