Château Reynon Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp, refreshing white Bordeaux from the Reynon estate, located in Beguey in the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. The Dubourdieu family has owned and operated Château Reynon since 1958, with Denis Dubourdieu taking over vineyard management in 1976 and establishing the estate's reputation for expressive, aromatic white wines.
The wine is primarily composed of Sauvignon Blanc with a small proportion of Sémillon, a classic Bordeaux blanc blend. It pours a pale yellow in the glass with aromas of citrus fruit and a light touch of oak. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with flavors of lemon, orange, and green apple, displaying a grassy, tangy acidity reminiscent of New Zealand-style Sauvignon Blancs. Alcohol is approximately 12%, making it a refreshing, easy-drinking white well suited to warm weather and casual sipping.
The 2021 vintage received 90-point scores from both Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator, and has been praised as an excellent value white Bordeaux. It pairs well with seafood, salads, goat cheese, and light appetizers. Sold in a standard 750ML bottle; Costco carries this item as a case of 12 bottles.
