Domaine Pellé Menetou-Salon Morogues Blanc is a Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley appellation of Menetou-Salon in France. Produced by fourth-generation winemaker Paul-Henry Pellé, the estate farms 40 hectares of organically tended vines centered around the village of Morogues, renowned for its high concentration of Kimmeridgian limestone soils — the same celebrated terroir found in Chablis, Chavignol, and parts of Champagne.
The Morogues Blanc is sourced from seven hillside vineyard parcels in Morogues, hand-harvested and fermented primarily in stainless steel tanks with a small portion in foudres and 400-liter barrels using indigenous yeasts. The wine is raised for a minimum of 11–12 months before bottling, resulting in a mineral-driven, precise Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of white flowers and citrus. It drinks well on release and has the structure to age beautifully for 10–15 years in top vintages.
Menetou-Salon is a small, under-the-radar AOC officially recognized in 1958, comprising just 600 hectares — roughly one-fifth the size of neighboring Sancerre — and offering exceptional quality at a more accessible price point. This 750ML bottle is imported from France.
