Knorhoek Cabernet Sauvignon is a classically styled red wine from the Stellenbosch region of South Africa, crafted by Knorhoek Estate on the lower slopes of the Simonsberg mountain. The vineyards are planted on decomposed granite and sandstone soils and benefit from a Mediterranean climate tempered by cool maritime breezes from False Bay, which supports excellent phenolic ripeness while preserving natural acidity.

The wine is a blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc, matured in French oak barrels with 52% new oak. The nose offers blackcurrant, blackberry, dark cherry, cedar, graphite, dried herbs, cocoa, and tobacco leaf. On the palate it is medium- to full-bodied with cassis and black cherry leading alongside savory herbal tones, pencil shavings, and fine-grained tannins. The finish is dry, persistent, and savory with lingering dark fruit and a mineral edge. Alcohol content is approximately 14–14.34% ABV. Suitable for immediate enjoyment or mid-term cellaring. Pairs well with grilled sirloin, rosemary-crusted lamb, mushroom stews, and aged cheddar.
