Château Segonzac La Forêt is an AOP Bordeaux Red blend produced by Vignobles Mourgues, a family estate in the Bordeaux region of France. The wine is crafted from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, sourced from the best estate vines.
The grapes undergo alcoholic and malolactic fermentations in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruit character. The final blend is then aged for a minimum of 9 months with French oak staves, with a small portion aged in traditional oak barrels, lending subtle structure and complexity.
On the nose, this Bordeaux delivers powerful aromas of red fruits alongside inviting notes of vanilla and cocoa. The palate is well-balanced with great harmony between vibrant red fruits, subtle tannins, and generous oaky notes. This wine pairs beautifully with fish stew, beef tenderloin, mushroom risotto, aged cheeses, and fresh fruit desserts. Alcohol content: 12.5%. Contains sulfites. Sold as a case of 12 x 750ml bottles.
