Glenfarclas 17 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky produced at Glenfarclas Distillery, one of Scotland's last remaining independent family-owned distilleries, situated on the Rechlerich Farm in the Speyside region and operated by the Grant family for six generations since 1865.

The whisky is crafted from malted barley mashed with spring water sourced from the heather-clad slopes of Ben Rinnes mountain. Fermentation uses 100% cultured distiller's yeast, and the wash is distilled twice through traditional direct-fired copper pot stills — a rare practice that preserves the classic Speyside character. Only approximately 15% of the distillate, known as the heart of hearts, is retained for maturation.

The spirit is aged for 17 years in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and ex-Oloroso and Fino sherry casks from Seville, Spain. The result is a full-bodied, richly flavored whisky bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof). On the nose it offers butterscotch and a touch of smoke; the palate delivers lush notes of cherries, honeyed oak, sweet malt, and peat; and the lingering finish carries hints of vanilla, sherry, and coffee.

Glenfarclas 17 Year Old earned 93 points from Wine Enthusiast, 93 points from the Beverage Testing Institute, and the Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
