Rancho Sisquoc Pinot Noir is a California red wine sourced from estate-grown grapes on a historic nearly 40,000-acre cattle ranch in the Santa Maria Valley of Santa Barbara County. The winery traces its roots to an 1845 land grant and began planting vineyards in 1968, using only estate-grown grapes in its award-winning wines.
This Pinot Noir pours a deep scarlet with soft pink edges. The nose offers candied cherry aromas accented by tones of earth, jubilant mint, and subtle hints of clove and cedar. On the palate, flavors of strawberry, dried cranberry, pomegranate, and vanilla converge with a touch of wet stone and fig, leading to a lively finish with hints of anise spice and soft, submissive tannins. The wine is fruit-forward with a silky, balanced texture and a smooth, supple finish. Multiple vintages have earned 90+ point scores from Wine Enthusiast.
