Bargetto Winery's Reserve Pinot Noir from the Santa Cruz Mountains is a refined single-vineyard expression sourced from the estate's Regan Vineyards in the Corralitos area of southern Santa Cruz County. Bargetto Winery, established in 1933, is the oldest winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains appellation, and the Regan Estate is one of the largest and most diverse vineyards in the region, with nearly 40 acres planted across 12 varietals and clones atop a hilly knoll overlooking Monterey Bay.

The cool coastal climate — among the coolest in all of California — imparts a long growing season that begins in March and stretches through November, resulting in wines with concentrated mountain-grown fruit, vibrant natural acidity, and exceptional aging potential. The loamy-clay soils at Regan, combined with excellent sun exposure, yield deeply colored, richly flavored Pinot Noirs with a distinctive sense of place.

The Reserve shows a garnet color and medium-full body, with aromas of black cherry, ripe strawberry, baking spices, and a touch of sweet French oak. On the palate, flavors of cherry cola and plum are framed by earthy minerality and crisp mountain acidity. The wine is dry, aged in French oak barrels, and finishes with elegant length.
