Craigellachie 13 Year Old is a robust, muscular single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, Scotland that defies the typical light, floral character of the region. Produced at the historic Craigellachie distillery, this expression is initially matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks, with 50% subsequently finished in first-fill Sherry casks and the remainder in first-fill Bourbon casks.

On the nose, it evokes Bonfire Night with aromas of toasted marshmallows, fire-roasted pineapples, baked apples studded with cloves, and a lingering hint of cordite. The palate is big and complex, delivering honeyed sweetness, lemon custard, roasted malt, banana, apple, caramel, butterscotch, and a surprising touch of smoke despite being an unpeated whisky. The finish is long and mouthcoating with a balance of sweet, savory, and fruity character.
