Alta Mora Etna Bianco is a refined white wine from the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy, produced by the Cusumano family. The name "Alta Mora" translates to "High, Black," a nod to the great elevation and the rich dark volcanic soils of Etna's terroir. This wine is crafted predominantly from Carricante, an ancient indigenous Sicilian white grape variety that thrives in the mineral-rich volcanic earth of the DOC Etna Bianco appellation.
On the nose, Alta Mora Etna Bianco offers delicate aromas of white flowers, stone fruit, citrus zest, and subtle saline mineral notes. The palate is vibrant and fresh, showcasing flavors of lemon, white peach, and green apple, with a characteristic volcanic minerality and a long, clean finish. The high altitude vineyards (600–1000 meters above sea level) contribute to natural acidity and complexity, giving the wine excellent balance and aging potential.
This wine pairs beautifully with seafood dishes, grilled fish, light pasta with white sauces, fresh cheeses, and Mediterranean cuisine. It is best served chilled at 10–12°C (50–54°F). Alcohol content is approximately 12.5–13% ABV. Each case contains 6 bottles of 750ml.
