Château Potensac is a renowned Cru Bourgeois estate located in the Médoc appellation of Bordeaux, France, owned and managed by the Delon family — the same family behind the prestigious Léoville Las Cases. The 2016 vintage is a classic Médoc red blend, typically composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and a small percentage of Petit Verdot, reflecting the estate's commitment to traditional Bordeaux winemaking.
The 2016 vintage is widely regarded as an exceptional year in Bordeaux, producing wines of great structure, concentration, and aging potential. Château Potensac 2016 offers deep flavors of dark fruit — blackcurrant, plum, and blackberry — framed by firm, well-integrated tannins and a subtle earthy minerality characteristic of the Médoc terroir. The finish is long and complex, with notes of cedar, tobacco, and a hint of spice.
This wine is sold as a 12-bottle case (12-pack) at 750ml per bottle, presenting excellent value for a classified Bordeaux estate of this caliber. It is well-suited for cellaring and can develop beautifully over the next 10–20 years, though it is approachable now with decanting.
