Marco Bonfante I Ronchetti is a 100% Cortese white wine from the Gavi di Gavi DOCG appellation in Piedmont, Italy. The grapes are sourced from the Sorì Ronchetti vineyard in Monterotondo di Gavi, an elevated site that contributes pronounced fruitiness and mineral character to the wine. The winery, founded by siblings Micaela and Marco Bonfante in Nizza Monferrato, follows a philosophy of preserving the natural character of the Cortese grape without fermentation or aging in wood.
The wine pours a clear straw yellow and offers intense aromas of banana, citrus fruits, and a delicate mineral quality typical of the Cortese variety. On the palate it is extremely dry and elegant, with a full body, fine minerality, and the classic bitter almond finish that defines quality Gavi. Alcohol is 13% by volume. Best served chilled at 8–10°C (46–50°F).
Pairs well with aperitifs, raw fish, shellfish, delicate cheeses, and white meats. Contains sulfites.
