Sarah's Vineyard Tondré Grapefield Chardonnay is a premium white wine sourced from the renowned Tondré Grapefield vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA of Monterey County, California. Founded in 1978, Sarah's Vineyard has over 40 vintages of winemaking experience specializing in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from California's Central Coast.
This Chardonnay displays enticing aromas and flavors of white flowers, citrus, and pastry crust, with golden apple, pear, and lemon curd on the palate. The finish offers notes of spice, vanilla, and peach. The wine achieves a balance of bright acidity and a hint of creaminess from aging in primarily neutral French oak barrels (25% new) for 11 months. It carries an alcohol content of 14.1%.
The Tondré Grapefield, managed by grower Joe Alarid, sits on the sparse mountainside soils of the Santa Lucia Highlands, where the windy Monterey Bay-influenced climate produces some of the country's finest cool-climate Chardonnay. This 750ML bottle is sold in cases of 12.
