Hickinbotham Clarendon Vineyard 'Trueman' Cabernet Sauvignon is a prestigious red wine from McLaren Vale, South Australia, grown at high elevation on the Clarendon Vineyard first planted in 1971. This estate was historically renowned for supplying fruit to many of Australia's most iconic producers before bottling under its own label beginning in 2012.

The wine expresses aromas of blueberry, blackberry, sage, dark chocolate, black olives, currant, and bittersweet chocolate with a hint of rose petal and wild sage. On the palate it delivers concentrated black plum, fresh acidity, and velvety, refined tannins that contribute to exceptional aging potential of 15 years or more. The 2022 vintage earned 96 points from the Halliday Wine Companion.

Winemaking is overseen by Christopher Carpenter and Peter Fraser, with viticulture by Michael Lane. The team employs organic and biodynamic farming practices, taking advantage of the vineyard's unique terroir — its elevation, aspect, ancient soils, and prevailing winds — to achieve deep tannin maturity and concentrated fresh flavors.
