Boizel Joyau de France is the prestige cuvée from Champagne Boizel, a historic house established in 1834 in Épernay, the heart of Champagne. Created in 1961 by René Boizel, this cuvée is produced only in exceptional vintages and represents the quintessence of the house's savoir-faire.
The blend is composed of 65% Pinot Noir sourced from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in La Montagne de Reims (Mailly and Vertus) and 35% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs (Avize, Oger, and Vertus). Only the purest juice of the first press is used, with 10% vinified in oak casks and the remainder in stainless steel. The wine is aged for 14 years on its lees in Boizel's historic cellars beneath the Avenue de Champagne.
The bouquet opens with elegant aromas of almond, frangipane, candied orange, and brioche. On the palate, it is complex with beautiful intensity, a silky refined texture, and elegant pastry notes balanced by delicacy and freshness. 12% ABV with 7 g/l residual sugar. This cuvée has received 94 points from both James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast.
