Erstwhile Espadín Mezcal is an award-winning artisanal mezcal crafted by master mezcaleros Silverio García Luis and Epifania Gómez Mejía in Rancho Blanco Güilá, Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico. Made from Espadín agave (Agave angustifolia), this small-batch spirit is naturally fermented in open-air ocote pine wood tanks and distilled in copper alembic stills, bottled at 48-49% ABV.

The tasting profile features notes of butterscotch, black tea, banana, and roasted agave with a creamy, slightly sweet palate. Savory, spicy, and peppery qualities reminiscent of smoked meats give way to a lingering finish of ash and soft smoke. It excels both as a sipping mezcal and as a versatile base for craft cocktails.
