Blue Run Trifecta is the first triple-age Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Blue Run Spirits, a premium craft whiskey brand now part of Molson Coors Beverage Company. This bold, high-proof bourbon is bottled at 117.1 proof (58.55% ABV) and is a carefully crafted blend of three distinct Kentucky straight bourbons sourced from undisclosed distilleries.

The blend is composed of 46% six-year-old bourbon (78% corn, 12% rye, 10% malted barley), 22% eight-year-old bourbon (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley), and 32% nine-year-old bourbon (78% corn, 10% rye, 12% malted barley). The nine-year-old component is notably referred to as the "Lost Whiskey," a barrel that traveled from Kentucky to Spain and back before being incorporated into this release. Each component was aged in the upper reaches of its rickhouse, concentrating flavors through wood heat.

On the nose, expect cedar, brown butter, apple crisps, white pepper, and whipped cream. The palate delivers caramel apple, cinnamon, pie crust, rye spice, and a slight floral note. The finish is long and warming with fig, cigar box, barrel char, white pepper, and a touch of Concord grape. First released in August 2023 with an MSRP of $180, Trifecta represents Blue Run's entry into the blended whiskey category while maintaining the brand's reputation for premium, limited releases.
