Diora La Belle Fête Rosé of Pinot Noir is a California rosé sourced from Diora's estate San Bernabe Vineyard in Monterey County. "La Belle Fête" means "the beautiful party" in French, and the winery name Diora derives from the French "d'or" (golden), evoking the golden hills of the Santa Lucia Mountain range. Winemaker James Ewart established Diora at San Bernabe Vineyard in 2000, bringing expertise from Australia's wine country to this celebrated Monterey appellation. The wine is crafted primarily from Pinot Noir (approximately 80–88%), blended with Syrah, Grenache, and Chenin Blanc, and carries 13% ABV.
The wine presents a beautiful pale pink hue with aromas of fresh strawberries, red grapefruit, honeydew melon, mandarin, and watermelon, with hints of florals and wet rock minerality. On the palate it delivers vibrant acidity and an elegant, creamy mouthfeel that showcases the quality of the estate fruit. It pairs well with salads, light pasta, grilled fish, seafood including raw and lightly cooked shellfish, and grilled pork.
The wine has received Gold medals at the Monterey International Wine & Spirits Competition (2023 vintage) and the Sunset International Wine Competition (2022 vintage).
