Milam & Greene Port Finished Straight Rye Whiskey is a Texas-crafted spirit that begins with rye whiskey sourced from Indiana, then batched at the Milam & Greene rickhouse in Blanco, Texas, where it is finished in old Port wine casks imported from Portugal. The Texas sun accelerates the maturation process, driving the Port wine flavors deep into the whiskey. Master distillers taste each cask regularly to determine when optimal flavor is achieved before batching and bottling.

The result is a ruby-hued rye whiskey bottled at 47% ABV (94 proof) with a nose of chocolate and dark fruits including black currants and blackberries. The palate is rich and complex with lingering Port wine character and a long, smooth finish.
