Le Grand Courtâge Grande Cuvée Blanc de Blancs Brut is a French sparkling wine crafted in Burgundy — not Champagne — and priced as an accessible everyday celebration. Founded by an American woman who relocated to Nuits-Saint-Georges in Burgundy, the brand set out to create cuisine and cocktail-friendly sparklers that elevate ordinary moments.
The wine is a blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Ugni Blanc, and Colombard, fermented in stainless steel tanks at cool temperatures to preserve freshness and aromatics. It pours pale yellow with the fine, gentle perlage the brand calls "baby bubbles." The nose offers bright green apple, ripe melon, honeysuckle, and toasted brioche. On the palate, flavors of Meyer lemon, honeydew, and soft white flowers come together with lively acidity and a smooth, creamy texture, finishing long and mineral-driven. Alcohol is 11.5% ABV with approximately 10 g/L residual sugar, giving it an off-dry, approachable character.
Awarded Wine Enthusiast "Best Buy" status with 90+ points and a B+ from Drinkhacker, it pairs well with savory hors-d'oeuvres, creamy pasta, fried chicken, spicy Asian cuisine, seafood, fruit desserts, and semi-soft cheeses. Best served chilled between 43°F and 46°F (6°–8°C).
