Tikal Natural is a red wine blend of 60% organic Malbec and 40% organic Syrah from Ernesto Catena's Demeter-certified biodynamic vineyard in Vista Flores, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina. The vines average 16 years of age at an elevation of 3,500 feet.
The wine displays a beautiful pomegranate color with aromas of fresh red cherries and light French oak undertones. The palate is fresh and lively with black raspberry and spiced mocha notes. It is aged 10 months in 80% French and 20% American oak, with 10% new barrels and 90% second and third use. Alcohol content is 13.9%.
Tikal Natural has received notable critical acclaim, earning 93 points from James Suckling and 90 points from Wine Enthusiast. It pairs well with barbecue, burgers, or enjoyed on its own.
