Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru is an iconic white Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune appellation, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The fruit is sourced from 30-year-old hand-picked vines growing in stony limestone soils on the renowned Corton hillside. The Latour family owns 10.5 hectares in the appellation, making them the largest single landowner in Corton-Charlemagne.
The wine undergoes complete malolactic fermentation in traditional French oak barrels, all 100% new and medium toasted by the Louis Latour cooperage, and is aged for 8 to 10 months. It offers aromas of grilled almonds and vanilla with cool minerality and precision. The cellaring potential is 10 to 15 years, with top vintages capable of evolving beautifully for decades.
Pairs well with lobster in butter sauce, seared scallops, roasted turbot, Bresse chicken with morels, aged Comté, or mild triple-cream cheese. Best served at 55–57°F (13–14°C).
