Convergence Zone Cellars' Virga Red Blend is a Rhône-inspired red wine from Washington State's Columbia Valley AVA. Crafted in homage to the great wines of France's Southern Rhône Valley, Virga is a rich, full-bodied, and slightly spicy blend built primarily from Mourvèdre and Syrah, with Grenache rounding out the composition. The blend proportions vary by vintage — the 2021 release is 70% Mourvèdre, 28% Syrah, and 2% Grenache, while older vintages feature a more even balance between all three varieties.

On the nose, the wine presents dark berry jam, smoked meat, baking spices, lavender, and dried herbs. The palate opens with fresh blueberry and lively acidity, moving through hints of black tea and finishing with rich notes of dark chocolate. It has received multiple high scores from wine critics, including a 92-point Gold Medal from SavorNW.

Virga pairs well with lamb, goat cheese, smoked baby back ribs, sautéed mushrooms, and grilled meats. Sold in a standard 750ML bottle.
