Finca San Martín is a Crianza-classified red wine from the Rioja Alavesa appellation in northern Spain, produced by Torre de Oña under the La Rioja Alta group. It is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes hand-harvested from select vineyards — Vallecilla, Camino de Laguardia, San Martín I and San Martín II — situated in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria mountain range.

The wine undergoes natural alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, then ages for 16 months in a blend of American oak barrels (60% new) and second-use French oak barrels (40%). Traditional rackings are performed by candlelight to separate sediment with minimal filtration. The Crianza designation requires a minimum of one year of oak aging, reflecting the wine's structured, age-worthy character.

On the nose, expect high aromatic intensity with notes of blackberries, raspberries, and red cranberries intertwined with hints of clove, vanilla, roasted coffee, caramel, and sweet licorice. On the palate, the wine is balanced and refined with soft, approachable tannins and a fruit-forward, expressive finish. Critical scores include 92 from Robert Parker, 91 from James Suckling, and 91 from Tim Atkin. It pairs well with charcuterie, hearty first courses, and roasted or grilled meats.
