Mt. Beautiful Sauvignon Blanc is a premium white wine from North Canterbury on the South Island of New Zealand. This wine pushes the boundaries of the typical New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc flavor profile, highlighting floral aromatics and tropical flavors such as guava and melon-like fruit while toning down the grassiness commonly associated with the variety. It delivers a creamy mid-palate through to a fresh and bright crispness on the finish.

The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are sourced from 38 hectares across 9 vineyard blocks planted between 2004 and 2006, totaling over 101,000 vines. The planted clones include a mix of University of California Davis (UCD) 1 and Mass selection (MS), with a quarter of the vines being Bordeaux clones BDX 316 and BDX 317, which contribute a definite lift with less cut grass and more tropical flavors. All fruit is hand-thinned and machine harvested before being pressed into juice on site.

Pairs well with arugula and feta salad, pasta carbonara, freshly shucked oysters, prawn linguine, or enjoyed on its own on a warm day.
