Albert Bichot Bourgogne Chardonnay Burgundy 750 ml

Albert Bichot Bourgogne Chardonnay "Origines" is a white Burgundy wine from Maison Albert Bichot, one of the most storied négociants in the Côte d'Or. Produced under the regional AOC Bourgogne appellation, this wine is crafted entirely from Chardonnay grapes sourced from a mosaic of plots across Burgundy's calcareous clay soils, with varying exposures and altitudes that bring complexity and typicity to the blend. Grapes are handpicked to ensure optimal quality at harvest.

Vinification is split between stainless steel tanks (80%) and oak barrels (20%), preserving the grape's natural freshness while adding subtle structure. The wine is aged on fine lees for 9 to 11 months using the same split — 80% in stainless steel vats and 20% in oak barrels — lending roundness and depth without masking the Chardonnay's aromatic expression.

On the nose, the wine offers fresh citrus fruit and white flowers that evolve into notes of honey and dried fruit. The palate is fresh and balanced, showcasing a harmonious interplay of vivacity and roundness that is characteristic of well-made Burgundian Chardonnay. It has received consistent 88–89-point scores from Wine Spectator across multiple vintages.

Best served between 10 and 12°C (50–53°F), it pairs beautifully with simply prepared fish and seafood, white meats, and poultry served grilled or in a light sauce. Enjoy young on the fruit or cellar for 2 to 3 years.
