Casanuova di Nittardi Vigna Doghessa is a pure Sangiovese Chianti Classico DOCG from the single vineyard "Vigna Doghessa," situated on a south-east facing hillside at 450 meters above sea level in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti, Tuscany, Italy. The vineyard's schist-stone-rich soils impart a fine minerality and pleasant freshness that define the wine's character. The estate, Fattoria Nittardi, is certified organic, and the wine is produced from 100% Sangiovese grapes.

The wine presents a vibrant ruby red color with aromas of cherries, violets, and hints of aromatic herbs and spices. On the palate, well-rounded tannins deliver a velvety texture, while vibrant acidity provides freshness and vitality, leading to a long-lasting finish. Winemaking involves natural fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by 14 months aging in used 500-liter French oak barrels, four months in concrete, and additional bottle aging before release.

This wine has earned consistently high critical acclaim across multiple vintages, including 94 points from Falstaff, 93 points from Robert Parker, 93 points from Luca Maroni, 92 points from Antonio Galloni, and 92 points from James Suckling. Sold in a case of 6 bottles, each 750ml.
