Gianfranco Bovio Barolo DOCG is a prestigious red wine from the Langhe hills of Piedmont, Italy, produced by the renowned Bovio family estate in La Morra. Made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Barolo DOCG appellation, this wine represents one of Italy's most celebrated and age-worthy varietals.

Barolo is often called the "King of Italian Wines" and Bovio is a highly regarded traditional producer. The wine undergoes extended maceration and aging in oak barrels, developing its characteristic garnet color with orange-brick hues. It delivers complex aromas of dried roses, tar, cherry, leather, and earthy notes with hints of licorice and tobacco.

On the palate, this Barolo is full-bodied with firm, grippy tannins and vibrant acidity that give it excellent aging potential. Flavors of red cherry, plum, dried herbs, and mineral notes lead to a long, elegant finish. Best enjoyed with a few hours of decanting to allow the wine to open up fully.
