Château Lynch Bages Red Blend Pauillac, France 3L

Château Lynch Bages is a celebrated Grand Cru Classé estate from Pauillac, one of Bordeaux's most prestigious appellations on the Left Bank of the Gironde. This 3-liter double magnum format presents the estate's flagship red blend, a powerful and structured Bordeaux that consistently punches above its official 5th Growth classification, often regarded as a "Super Second."

The blend is composed of approximately 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot, sourced from roughly 100 hectares of vines averaging 30 years of age on the gravelly Bages plateau. The wine is aged for 12 to 15 months in approximately 70% new French oak barrels, imparting structure and depth while preserving the classic Pauillac character.

Expect rich aromas and flavors of dark cassis, tobacco, cedar, wet earth, and truffle with firm but well-integrated tannins. The wine has excellent aging potential, with top vintages developing beautifully over 15 to 20 years. The 3-liter format is particularly desirable for cellaring, as larger formats age more gracefully and slowly than standard bottles.
