Nals Margreid "Stein" is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Alto Adige DOC in northern Italy, produced by Cantina Nals Margreid, a cooperative winery representing around 100 small growers in South Tyrol. The grapes are grown in Nalles at altitudes of 330 to 400 meters in a 150-meter-deep alluvial fan carved by the Sirmian and Nalles streams, with east/southeast exposure and a continental-to-sub-Mediterranean climate marked by warm days and cool nights.

Grapes are hand-harvested, and the clarified must is fermented in stainless steel tanks for approximately three weeks. The wine is then aged on the lees for a further five months before bottling, preserving vibrant varietal character without oak influence.

The wine pours a light straw yellow with greenish hues. On the nose it offers aromatic herbs, citrus, chinotto, lychee, and elderflower. The palate is full-bodied and crisp with tanginess and lively supporting acidity. Serve at 10–12°C (50–54°F). Pairs well with chicken with paprika, spicy Szechuan soup, butter-based fish dishes, and light pasta.
