Château de Nalys "Saintes Pierres de Nalys" is the second wine of the renowned Château de Nalys estate, one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape's most historic domaines in the southern Rhône Valley of France. The name "Saintes Pierres" (holy stones) pays homage to the famous galets roulés — large, heat-retaining stones — that define the appellation's distinctive terroir.
This Grenache-dominant red blend typically comprises approximately 69% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 5% Cinsault, 4% Muscardin, and small amounts of Counoise and Mourvèdre, sourced from the Nalys, Bois Sénéchal, and La Crau lieux-dits. The wine is vinified in stainless steel with 90% aged in tank and 10% in old foudres, preserving the fresh fruit character of the blend. It delivers ripe red and black cherry fruits, notes of spice box, peppery garrigue, chalky minerality, and supple tannins — a hedonistic yet soulful expression of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation at an accessible price point.
