Vaglio Chacra Malbec is a single-vineyard red wine from Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, in the Mendoza region of Argentina. Produced by Vaglio Wines, a boutique winery founded in 2013 by José Lovaglio Balbo, the winery operates out of a gravity-fed concrete facility in the El Peral area of Tupungato, allowing for minimal intervention winemaking.
This 100% Malbec is hand-harvested from mature vines grown at altitude in the Andean foothills. The wine displays deep ruby color with aromas of dark plum, blackberry, and raisin, accented by subtle oak and earthy notes. On the palate it offers ripe dark fruit flavors, supple tannins, and a round, smooth finish. It pairs well with grilled meats, hearty pasta dishes, and aged cheeses.
