Typesetter Zinfandel is a certified organic, single-vineyard wine from the Lincoln Creek Vineyard in Oakville, Napa Valley, produced by Vinum Cellars. The vineyard is planted with heritage clone Zinfandel vines and is situated at the corner of Highway 29 and Yount Mill Road, across from Paradigm Winery. Only approximately 726 cases are produced per vintage.
The wine is aged for 24 months in a combination of French and American oak barrels. The 2019 vintage earned 92 points from James Suckling, with tasting notes of dark plums, blackberries, black coffee, baking spices, and moist earth, delivering a full-bodied, juicy, and textured palate with supple tannins and a spiced dark-fruit core.
The name "Typesetter" is a tribute to the winemaker's grandfather, who worked as a lithographer, typesetter, and printer.
