Bouchard Aîné & Fils Pommard Premier Cru Les Charmots is a prestigious red Burgundy wine made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes. Sourced from the renowned Premier Cru vineyard "Les Charmots," located mid-slope just north of the village of Pommard on the Côte de Beaune, this wine benefits from a south-east exposure and iron-rich clay soils that lend strength and structure to the wine.

The wine is vinified in wooden vats and aged for 14 months in oak barrels, including 20% new oak, allowing the tannins to silken and the powerful structure to develop. It presents an elegant cherry red color with an intense bouquet of blackcurrant, blueberry, and raspberry enhanced by vanilla and toasted bread notes. On the palate, it is powerful and well-structured with intense fruit, well-integrated tannins, and a nice length.

Best served between 16°C and 17°C (61°-63°F), this wine pairs beautifully with furred game, bison steak, jugged hare, and Burgundian cheeses such as Epoisses, Cîteaux, or Langres. With proper cellaring, it can age up to 10 years, developing evolved aromas of leather and venison.
