Lost Republic Straight Rye Whiskey is a small-batch, craft American whiskey produced at Lost Republic Distilling Co. in Healdsburg, California (Sonoma County). Bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV), it is made from a mash of 95% rye and 5% barley, then barrel-aged for 36 months. The distillery was founded in 2013, inspired by the Bear Flag Revolt of June 1846, when 33 California settlers declared a short-lived "California Republic" in Sonoma.

On the nose, the whiskey presents aromas of tobacco, grapefruit, raspberries, cloves, toffee, and a hint of ginger. The palate delivers cherry notes alongside a rich array of black, red, and white pepper. The mouthfeel opens with a bold pepper sensation and transitions to a soft, smooth finish with notes of vanilla.
