Macán Clásico is a prestigious red wine from the Rioja DOCa appellation in Spain, crafted from 100% Tempranillo grapes sourced from the Sonsierra region in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria. It is a joint venture between two legendary wine dynasties — Vega Sicilia of Spain and Rothschild of France — combining centuries of winemaking heritage with a distinctly Riojan character.

The wine is aged in a blend of French and American oak, with approximately 40% new wood, lending it elegance, structure, and complexity. It presents aromas and flavors of cherry, plum, blackberry, and bramble, with notes of tobacco and refined tannins. The palate is full-bodied, round, and well-textured, with a long, precise finish. Wine Advocate has awarded notable vintages ratings in the low-to-mid 90s, praising its precision and texture.
