Domaine Bourillon d'Orléans is a family-owned estate in the Loire Valley of France, producing 100% Chenin Blanc wines from the renowned Vouvray appellation. Founded in 1921, the domaine cultivates 26 hectares of vines in clay-limestone soils, with select cuvées drawn from old vines in the prized Montgouverne vineyard.
This white wine exhibits a beautiful deep yellow color with green-gray reflections and crystalline clarity. The nose offers smoky and mineral notes alongside white fruit aromas of pear, white peach, and nectarine, with subtle hazelnut-like toasted complexity. On the palate, white and citrus fruit flavors are balanced by pleasant tension, finishing with compote of tangy and spicy white fruit. The wine is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel, with a portion aged in oak barrels for added depth. ABV 14%. Contains sulfites.
Pairs well with grilled chicken, roasted lobster, poached fish, and grilled vegetables.
