Castelgufo Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC is a white wine from the Marche region of central Italy, made from 100% Verdicchio grapes. The Verdicchio grape boasts ancient origins in this region, with first written evidence dating back to the 5th century AD. The wine is produced using a traditional method of soft crushing and cryomaceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature and aging in cement on the yeasts.
This wine presents a straw yellow color with golden-green reflections. On the nose, it offers aromas of white flowers, hawthorn, and white peach. The palate reveals flavors of Golden Delicious apple with scents of sage and sweet spices. At 13% alcohol by volume with 6 g/l residual sugar and 6.40 g/l acidity, it pairs perfectly with grilled white meats and steamed or baked fish. Produced by Cerester, an Italian company specializing in Castelgufo wines. 750ML bottle.
