Joseph Drouhin Meursault is a prestigious white Burgundy wine from the celebrated Côte de Beaune appellation in Meursault, one of Burgundy's oldest wine-producing communes. Made entirely from Chardonnay grapes, this wine is produced by Maison Joseph Drouhin, a renowned Burgundy négociant and estate founded in 1880, known for its commitment to terroir-driven winemaking.
The wine displays a beautiful golden color with a rich aromatic palette of honey, linden flower, hazelnut butter, chamomile, and hawthorn. On the palate it offers a silky roundness with flavors of yellow plum and gingerbread, finishing with notable length. Grapes are harvested by hand and slowly pressed in a pneumatic press. Fermentation and aging occur in French oak barrels (approximately 20% new oak) for 14 to 16 months, with both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation completed in barrel.
This wine is best served at 13°C (55°F) and is suited for cellaring 5 to 8 years, with an aging potential of up to 10 years. Available in cases of 6 or 12 bottles.
