Quinta de la Rosa Red Blend Portugal 750ml

Quinta de la Rosa is a historic estate in the Douro Valley of Portugal, owned by the Bergqvist family since 1906. Originally celebrated for its Port wines, the estate became a pioneer of dry table wines from the Douro beginning in the early 1990s, helping establish the region's reputation for world-class unfortified reds.

This red blend is crafted from traditional indigenous Douro varieties including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Cão. Fermented in stainless steel vats at cool temperatures to preserve freshness, and aged in French oak barriques for added complexity. The wine delivers aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry, plum, and violet florals, with a palate of bright acidity, firm ripe tannins, and notes of dark chocolate and subtle spice. The finish is smooth and harmonious.

At approximately 14% ABV, this is a full-flavored yet approachable Douro red that pairs beautifully with grilled meats, hearty stews, and aged cheeses. It is approachable young but also has modest cellaring potential.
