Gaja Sito Moresco Red Blend Italy 750ML

Gaja Sito Moresco is a prestigious red blend from the Langhe appellation in Piedmont, Italy, produced by the legendary Gaja winery established in Barbaresco in 1859. The wine is named after Moresco, the previous owner of the parcel in Gaja's Pajorè vineyard in the village of Treiso, from which the majority of the grapes are sourced, with additional fruit from the Serralunga village. Gaja has been producing this wine since 1991.

This is a blend of two beloved Piedmontese red grapes — Barbera and Nebbiolo — grown using organic farming practices. The two varieties ferment and macerate separately for three weeks before undergoing malolactic fermentation, after which they are blended and aged in oak for 12 months. The wine presents a beautiful violet color with bold notes of blackberry, cherry, blood orange, and bergamot with a touch of flintiness. Medium-structured with lots of juiciness and harmony on the palate, it delivers well-balanced acidity and tannin structure with a long finish. ABV is 14.5%.

This wine pairs well with pasta, pizza, red meat, mushroom and sausage pizza, meat-stuffed ravioli, and juicy burgers. Sold as a case of 6 x 750ML bottles.
