Sans Liege "The Offering" is a Southern Rhône-inspired red blend from Santa Barbara County, California, crafted by owner and winemaker Curt Schalchlin, who has established himself as one of the premier producers of Grenache, Syrah, and Rhône-style blends in California's "Cal-Rhône Community."

The 2021 vintage is composed of 43% Grenache, 38% Syrah, and 19% Mourvèdre — a classic GSM blend. The wine delivers aromas of black cherry, blueberry, raspberry, crushed violets, and subtle dried herbs, with hints of leather and anise. On the palate, it is robust and layered, featuring flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, and pepper balanced by velvety tannins, with a long finish of spice, mocha, and a touch of smokiness.

Grapes are hand-harvested and the wine undergoes small-batch fermentation followed by aging in French oak barrels for 22 months, reflecting Schalchlin's commitment to artisan production methods.
