Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo Toscana Italy 750ML

Tenuta Sette Ponti Crognolo is a Toscana IGT red wine from Central Tuscany, Italy, sold in a 750ML bottle. First produced in 1998, this Super Tuscan takes its name from the Cornelian cherry (cornus mas), a wild plant that grows abundantly on the estate. It is crafted by the Moretti Cuseri family at Tenuta Sette Ponti, one of Tuscany's acclaimed wine estates.

The blend is composed of approximately 90% Sangiovese sourced from the historic Vigna dell'Impero vineyard planted in 1935 by Amedeo, Duke of Savoy-Aosta, complemented by 10% Merlot for smoothness and depth. Grapes are grown on stony soils rich in marl at 250 meters above sea level, from vines 30 to 35 years old. Harvest is followed by maceration and temperature-controlled fermentation for 20 days, then aging in used French oak barrique and an additional 6 months in bottle.

The wine presents an intense ruby red color with aromas of ripe cherries and wild berries, elegantly blended with spicy notes. On the palate it is round, harmonious, and vibrant with silky tannins and good freshness. ABV is 14%. Serve at 18°C (64.4°F).
