Mauro Molino Leradici Barbera d'Asti is a red wine from the Piedmont region of Italy, produced by the Molino family winery based in La Morra, in the heart of the Barolo zone. The name "Leradici" — meaning "Roots" in Italian — is an homage to winemaker Mauro Molino's father Giuseppe, who was born in Costigliole d'Asti, where the grapes are grown.
Made from 100% Barbera grapes sourced from south-facing, 25-year-old vines grown in calcareous, sandy soils under organic farming practices, the wine is certified DOCG. The grapes undergo 10 days of maceration on the skins in stainless steel, followed by a 20-day fermentation, then age for 8 months in large 52-hectoliter French oak casks.
The wine delivers aromas of ripe red cherry, blackberry, and violet with a hint of spice. On the palate it is medium-bodied with bright acidity, supple tannins, and a clean, fruit-driven finish — hallmarks of high-quality Barbera d'Asti.
