Capanna Rosso di Montalcino is a classic red wine from the Montalcino appellation in Tuscany, Italy, produced by Capanna, one of the region's most respected estates. Made entirely from Sangiovese grapes — the same variety behind the legendary Brunello di Montalcino — this wine offers an approachable expression of the appellation at a more accessible price point.

The wine is aged briefly in large Slavonian oak casks, which softens the tannins while preserving the fruit's natural vibrancy. It delivers aromas of violets, blackberry, and red cherry, with spicy and bright characteristics on the palate. Notes of purple fruit, tart cherry, and bitter almond lead to a finish with pleasant freshness and fine-grained tannins. The 2022 vintage earned 88 points from Wine Advocate. Approximately 25,500 bottles are released per vintage.

Pairs beautifully with pasta with meat ragù, lasagna, roasted meats, mushroom dishes, and aged cheeses. Serve at cellar temperature.
